Server/Web Site Update

This web site was modified this past weekend (September 16, 2008). It was moved to a new Server (faster) and new web content management system.
This upgrade was slightly problematic with the arrival of the remnants of hurricane Ike - when power was lost during the upgrade and data was corrupted. Hopefully things are all back now the way they are supposed to be.
Please send email if you are seeing strange things.

The 11th North East Ohio Dachshund Picnic

The 11th North East Ohio Dachshund Picnic was held today, Saturday July 12th, 2008 at Plum Creek Park in Kent, Ohio There were 1000 humans and 600 dogs registered.

The day started sunny and warm with a nice breeze. At the end of the contests a thunder storm blew up and cooled things down. Because of the storm we did not take a group picture due to the threat of lightning.

There are pictures of the picnic located in the Photo Gallery.

The 10th NE Ohio Dachshund Picnic was held last Saturday, July 14th, 2007 at Plum Creek Park in Kent, Ohio. This is the undoubtedly the largest Dachshund Picnic in the country.

The official count of attendees is 911 humans and 526 dogs. You can easily add 10% more to this count for folks that did not register or came after registration had closed.

There are pictures of the picnic located in the Photo Gallery.

The 9th Annual North East Ohio Dachshund Picnic was held yesterday, Saturday, July 8th, 2006 at Plum Creek Park in Kent, Ohio.

The day was beautiful - Not too hot and not too sunny which made it very comfortable for both pups and humans. The layout of how the park was utilitized was different this year and it seems like this helped to make this one of the smoothest running picnics yet!
